My Virgin Wakeboarding experience was Great!!

Hey pardon me for using such provocative words to describe a wonderful day. Just can't seem to curb my enthusiasm about this wonderful watersport. For all those who missed out (no special reference to sz25) or never wakeboarded i can only say you should have been there man.. Below is a first person narrative abt my experience..

Once submerged in the water you can feel your heart pumping rapidly. You find the handle tightening and the boat starts dragging you through the water, slowly picking up speed. Words keep running through ur mind over and over again.. "use ur toes, keep ur needs bent, squatting position, arms straight.. shoulders relaxed!! point ur board to 2 o'clock!!! and don't panic..." The drag underneath the surfboard starts to increase in intensity, you try to fight it and slowly easing yourself up above the water. Edging your right foot forward ever so slowly, you find yourself magically standing upright. A rush of adrenaline goes through your body and you find yourself braving the whistling wind and cutting a fine line through the water *read WOOHOO!!*. At this point your mind blocks out all distractions, focusing on keeping your balance and hanging on for your LIFE. You hear distant shouts and cheers from the boat, squinting your eyes you see them and you start breaking into a silly grin. Wrong Move.. Lapse in focus, your grip loosens, your feet starts to wobble. You think you are in some car safety test w/o the car and you happen to be the crash dummy going at 60km/hr. !!SPLASH!! in spectacular fashion you go into water and taken in quite a mouthful.

Back on the boat, the judges flash their scorecards.. 5 , 4.5 , 4 , 3.. out of a possible 10. Ms Geraldine*one of the judges* comments: "This can't even come close to the 180 degree side flip ending with the surfboard landing 5m away by Christina" Eddie the coach calmly turns the boat back towards you and tries to comfort you: "Hey save some water for the rest, don't drink it all up!!"

Oh brother...
